I think another new feature I will add is books from my bookshelf. Here is my first pick: Glass Bottom Boats & Mermaid Tales, Florida's Tourist Springs, by Tim Hollis, Stackpole Books, 2006. "Glass bottom boats, mermaids, underwater performances, petting zoos--Florida's tourist industry began with the attractions that developed around the state's natural springs. Packed with vintage images and vacation nostalgia, this quintessential roadside book tells the story of how Florida's natural wonders were first developed as tourist attractions, leading to the booming theme-park era of today." The histories of Silver Springs, Wakulla Springs, Rainbow Springs, Weeki Wachee Springs, Homosassa Springs, and a host of others. Also non-spring attractions like Six Gun Territory. This book was a great read!
