Merry Christmas to everyone!

A good time to talk about candy.

People may be surprised to know it, but the Seminole and Miccosukee do celebrate all the American holidays, and with as much enthusiasm as those non-tribal members. This week I saw a lot of Christmas decorations at houses on the different reservations. The inflatable Santa on a motorcycle seems to be popular. Or giant snow globes.

Anyway, I stopped off for gas yesterday at Brighton reservation, and in the store they sold chocolates shaped like the tribal seal. It is made by a new company by one of the tribal members, "Osceola Delights," and you can look them up at http://www.osceoladelights.com

And they also make them in sugar free, too.

We are going to try and do some first person reenacting at Paynes Prairie State Preserve and would like to find a good contact for supplies such as clothing and accessories.

Re: Seminole attire
Well I have made all my own clothing as do most people. Come to Dade Battlefield this next weekend during the reenactment and talk to the reenactors, and see what you can find out. This is our biggest gathering during the year and the best place to make contacts.
There are a couple people who do sell the outfits for soldier, but less for Seminoles. But this weekend is the best time to talk to us about it.
