I just did the monthly weather report for the park. September started out hot and wet, and ended up a little cooler and dryer. The last three days of the the month, it definitely feels like Fall is here. What does this mean for the weather in the future?
What worries me the most is that it looks like the rainy season is over. Everything is quickly drying, and this could be a big problem next year. We had what seemed like a record drought in April and May. There was a great wildfire danger across the state. North Florida is still under drought conditions. Thankfully we were spared the hurricanes that hit us really bad the previous two years, but it looks like we are on a deficit with rain. So the outlook for drought and wildfire next spring look really bad.
