This kiosk is located at H.P. Williams Wayside Park rest area along highway 41/Tamiami Trail at Turner River Road in Ochopee, which is a couple miles east of the new Ochopee Welcome Center. That’s important to know if you are looking for it, because the preserve has two welcome / visitor centers, and it is not at either of those. This wayside park is one of the most popular places because it is the big alligator watching spot.
This was the first kiosk I found that was not painted. I soon learned from visiting others, that about a third aren’t either.
(Below: I love this warning sign, although the red circle/slash has faded.)
(Below: This is the view that most people see of Big Cypress, driving down the Tamiami Trail as fast as they can. It is worth stopping to see the welcome center or the various short walks along the way.)
