This kiosk was one of the better maintained ones. It has the heron weather vane on top, and the blue trim paint around the panels looks really nice. The location is good between the parking lot and visitor center. It does not have the brochure box, but that only gives you a reason walk across the street to the visitor center, which I highly recommend. After showing you some ugly kiosks, it was nice to see a pretty one that is being taken care of for a change.

Above: The interp panel right at the water's edge was a bold idea.

Below: And the tide coming over the walkway was another interesting challenge. Water was high everywhere that day.

Below: The park also offers snorkeling trips out to the reef. That is a good reason to make a return visit here. It was very windy and choppy the day I went, so wasn't such a good day for that.

Kiosks # 5 to 11 seemed a little neglected, so it was really refreshing to see this one, which is one of the prettiest kiosks of all 21. Although kiosks #17 to 21 are also nice. Since the brochure box was missing on this one, I would have to say the best looking kiosk is...
Never mind! I'll save that for later.
