I am getting ready to go out the door for the weekend, and don't have time to write a full article. But I wanted to mention this.
On March 27, 1814, the worst tragedy of Native Americans in the southeast happened at Horseshoe Bend. This battle killed more native people than any battle in the history of the United States. Forces under General andrew jackson killed 800 to 1,000 Creek people.
This is still in the minds of the Creek people today. They do not like to speak of it.
Hopefully I can write more when I am back.
