Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail
Appromixately 3 miles Southwest of U.S. 441 on State Road 78, Okeechobee, On the north side of where the Kissimmee River enters Lake Okeechobee.
The LOST Trail (Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail) features abundant wildlife viewing opportunities. Some of the species you may be lucky enough to see are bald eagles, snail kites, and sandhill cranes. Visitors can fish, bike, jog, canoe, or launch a boat from the C. Scott Driver Jr. Recreation Area.

This site comes up quick, so be prepared to pull off the busy roadway abruptly when you get to the location. “Lake O” looms in the distance. The sign off state road 78 for the Everglades Trail directs people to the Okee-Tannee Recreation Area, but that is not where the kiosk it. They kiosk is a few hundred yards to the northwest along SR78 where there is access to the “Big O” or LOST Trail.
